REQUIREMENTS
Requirements for Obtaining a Degree
Following are the requirements for obtaining M.Phil., M. COM. (3 ½ Years & 1 ½ Years), B. COM. (Hons), DCMA and DED Diploma .
Attendance
A student must attend at least 75% of his/her lectures, seminal sessions, meetings, etc. to become eligible for appearing in the final examination of the semester.
Workload
A student will normally be required to take the prescribed courses offered by the College in each semester. However, in special circumstances, he/she can add/drop a course(s) with prior approval of the Principal. The permission must be obtained within seven days from the commencement of the semester.
A student who fails to pass a course will be awarded grade ‘F’ (Fail). Drop/Fail/Withdrawal of course(s) may be enrolled in the following semester by paying the prescribed fee per course. The permission must be obtained within seven days from the commencement of the semester.
With Drawl
On genuine grounds, determined by the Principal, a student can freeze/with drawl a semester only once in the degree program. Permission to freeze the semester must be obtained from the Principal before the commencement of the semester. In such case(s) the semester fee, if deposited, will be transferred to the next semester. A student who has frozen his/her semester must get approval from the Principal to rejoin the program before the commencement of the semester to be rejoined.
CGPA
A student must successfully complete required courses individually. Each course carries three credit hours. A student must also obtain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.30 out of a maximum of 4.00 and must also pass at least 50% of the courses offered in a semester. For Master class the minimum CGPA is 2.5.
Thesis
The Master degree students should complete the thesis in final semester. This thesis carries a weight-age of six credit hours for determining the GPA.
System
There shall be two compulsory examinations in each course: a mid-term and a final examination. The determination of the form of examinations has been left to the teacher who shall be solely responsible for the conduct of examination as well as for the evaluation in his/her course. The grade given by the teacher shall be final. The College shall announce the dates for the examinations well in advance. In addition to these examinations, marks have been assigned to quizzes, class work, home assignments, class presentations, class discussions, term paper, etc. the grade shall be determined keeping in view the overall performance in examinations, term papers, class test, timely completion of assignment, class presentations, etc. if a participant fails to appear in any examination / quiz or fails to submit a term paper / home assignment in time or is unable to given his/her presentation on due date, he/she shall be given no mark in that examination/term paper/presentation, etc. the following weight-age shall be given to examinations, home assignments, term papers, etc.

Note:
- Mid-term examination of subject shall be conducted during one of the regular period assigned to the relevant subject in the timetable. The classes of the remaining subjects shall continue according to the schedule during these examinations.
- All examinations shall be held without break i.e. There shall be no holidays during the papers.
- Final examination of each subject shall cover the entire course.
Course
In order to qualify the examination of a subject, a student must obtain ‘D’ grade (50% marks) with at least 20% marks separately in:
- Sessional Work / Mid-term Examination etc. and
- Final Examination

Next Semester

- At the end of a semester, a student must obtain a mini mum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 to be promoted to the next semester.
- In case a student is able to obtain (GPA) of 1.70 or more but less than 2.0, he/she shall be promoted to the next semester on probation. The candidate who fails to secure 1.70 GPA in the first semester shall stand auto matically dropped from the rolls. Grade Point Average (GPA) shall be computed to determine the standard of the student in the following manner:

- At the end of the second semester, a student must obtain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 and must also pass at least 50% of the courses offered to him/her in order to be promoted to the third semester. If any of the preceding two conditions is not complied with by a student, he/she shall be removed from the rolls of the College.
- In the third semester, a student shall be required to repeat those courses of the first semester In which he/she had failed, provided that his/her maximum work load, including the courses being repeated by him/her, does no exceed the normal workload of the third semester.
- In the fourth semester, a student shall be required to repeat those courses of the second semester in which he/she had failed, provided that his/her maximum work load, including the courses being repeated by him/her, does no exceed the normal work-load of the fourth semester.
- At the end of the second and third semesters, the CGPA of a student should not be less than 2.00; otherwise he/she shall be removed from the rolls of the College.
- At the end of the fourth semester, the CGPA of a student who had not been required to repeat any courses(s) should not be less than 2.00, otherwise he/she shall be remove from the rolls of the College.

In order to get promoted to the third and fourth semesters, the following shall be necessary:
- To obtain a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and
- To pass at least 50% of the courses offered till that time.
Course
If a student fails in any one or more subject(s) but obtains the required CGPA, he/she shall be promoted to next semester on probation. Still he/he will have to complete that course / courses along-with the junior class after the completion of his/her session.
Regarding maintenance of minimum cumulative grade point average and other requirements, further details shall be explained in orientation program that will be conducted after admission.
Comprehensive Exam
Their will be a comprehensive exam of M.Com & M.Phil Students at the end of final semester. The entire course from semester one to semester final will be included for the comprehensive exam. It is mandatory for every students to pass this exam.
Unfairmeans Cases
The teacher-in-charge will report unfair means cases to the Chairman/Directr/Principal who shall place those before Semester Implementation Committee for necessary action as under:
Any candidate detected in giving or receiving assistance, or found guilty of copying from any paper, book or note, or allowing any other candidate to copy his answer book, or using, or attempting to use these or any other unfair means, shall be dropped from the program not exceeding two semesters.
B.Com (IT) Degree
A student admited in B.Com (Hons.) Program can opt for B.Com IT degree after completion of his/her 4 Semesters with having passed all the subjects by getting a CGPA of 2.00 or more.
